Join G4C on a visit to Buckler’s Forest; on the site of the former Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) facility in Crowthorne.
Walk the routes of the old test track, learn about the history of the former research laboratory and see for yourself how it’s been transformed into over 100 acres of forest, grasslands and heath; delivering environmental benefits as well as incorporating engineering features to help manage surface water.
We’ll meet at Buckler’s Park Visitor Centre; just off Old Wokingham Road, where Legal & General Homes will talk us through the plans for the scheme, before heading out for a walking tour of the forest!
Date: Monday 10th June
Time: Arrive from 5:30pm, for a short talk starting at 5:45pm.
Location: Meet at Buckler’s Park Visitor Centre,
Old Wokingham Road,
(No PPE required, but please wear footwear appropriate for walking through the forest. Most of the paths are paved, but there are some grassed paths).
